STEPHEN GAY
I've been playing drums for more than 20 years, performing with bands, churches, worship teams, jazz groups, and musicians throughout Ontario.
Today, I'm still an active working drummer, playing approximately 40+ gigs each year with my band Generation Train and regularly subbing for other bands and bandleaders.
I grew up surrounded by music, studied with professional drummers, and developed much of what I know through years of playing alongside other musicians.
That experience shapes the way I teach today.
HOW I TEACH
Most students work through a structured curriculum designed to build strong fundamentals and clear progression, while lessons adapt to each student's goals, weaknesses, and musical interests.
My goal is simple:
I believe in disciplined practice, high standards, great music, and the satisfaction that comes from steadily getting better.
